First Look: Inno3D iChill GeForce RTX 5090 Frostbite PRO and RTX 5080 Frostbite for DIY Liquid Cooling

Inno3D has unveiled its latest flagship graphics cards designed specifically for PC enthusiasts and custom liquid cooling setups. The new iChill GeForce RTX 5090 Frostbite PRO and iChill GeForce RTX 5080 Frostbite both feature factory-installed, full-coverage water blocks engineered by Alphacool, a trusted name in high-performance cooling solutions.

Inno3D iChill GeForce RTX 5090 Frostbite PRO: Premium Cooling for Power Users

The iChill GeForce RTX 5090 Frostbite PRO stands out with its robust cooling design. The water block is constructed from nickel-plated copper, ensuring efficient heat transfer and long-term durability. Its top is made from a metal alloy and finished with a carbon fiber pattern decal, giving the card a sleek, modern appearance. Notably, the coolant ports are positioned at the tail end of the card, rather than the top, providing more flexibility for custom loop routing. These ports use standard G 1/4" threads, making them compatible with a wide range of fittings (fittings are not included).

Despite its high-end hardware, the RTX 5090 Frostbite PRO does not come with a factory overclock, allowing enthusiasts to push the card’s performance to their own specifications. This approach gives experienced users full control over tuning and maximizing the GPU’s capabilities within their custom cooling environment.

Inno3D iChill GeForce RTX 5080 Frostbite: Striking Design with Enhanced Performance

The iChill GeForce RTX 5080 Frostbite also features a full-coverage Alphacool water block, but with a distinct visual twist. Instead of a metal top, this model uses a clear acrylic top, offering a direct view of the nickel-plated copper coolant chamber and internal microfin lattice. The GPU base is adorned with an Inno3D snowflake motif, which is purely decorative and does not impact coolant flow. For added visual appeal, the acrylic top is equipped with addressable RGB LEDs, allowing for customizable lighting effects that can be synchronized with the rest of your build.

Performance-wise, the RTX 5080 Frostbite comes with a reference base frequency of 2295 MHz and a factory boost clock of 2895 MHz—significantly higher than the standard 2617 MHz reference boost. This makes it an attractive option for users seeking both advanced cooling and out-of-the-box performance gains.

Optimized for Enthusiasts and Custom Builds

Both the RTX 5090 Frostbite PRO and RTX 5080 Frostbite are tailored for PC builders who demand top-tier performance and aesthetics. With premium materials, innovative cooling designs, and compatibility with standard liquid cooling fittings, these graphics cards are well-suited for high-end gaming rigs and professional workstations alike. Inno3D’s collaboration with Alphacool ensures reliable thermal management, while the unique design elements cater to users who value both function and style in their custom PC builds.
