Gigabyte Introduces Ultra-Premium AI TOP 500 TRX50 Desktop

Gigabyte has quietly unveiled the ultra-premium AI TOP 500 TRX50 Desktop, designed for local AI development, multimodal fine-tuning, and high-performance gaming. This system promises workstation-grade performance and advanced AI capabilities in a plug-and-play format. The price and release date were not disclosed in the recent press material.

The AI TOP 500 TRX50 features a 24-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX processor, paired with an AORUS 360 AIO Liquid Cooler. Despite the upcoming launch of Team Red's next-gen Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 processors, Gigabyte's use of older "Zen 4/Storm Peak" technology may seem untimely. However, the TRX50 AI TOP motherboard is compatible with the new CPUs. It is speculated that a variant with a 32-core Threadripper PRO 7975WX CPU may be released soon.

Both the AI TOP 500 and 100 models come with Gigabyte's own-brand GeForce RTX 5090 WINDFORCE graphics cards. The AI TOP Utility software suite simplifies the AI development process, allowing users to explore models, manage datasets, fine-tune parameters, and monitor system performance in real-time. The AI TOP 500 TRX50 supports up to 768 GB of DDR5 R-DIMM memory and AI-ready SSDs for storage, including a 1 TB AI TOP 100E cache drive with high durability under heavy workloads. An AORUS Gen 4 7300 SSD 2 TB is also included in the package, along with an AI TOP-branded Ultra Durable 1600 W 80 Plus Platinum PSU.
