Retailers have started creating placeholder listings for Intel's upcoming 14th Gen Core (65 W) non-K desktop processor models. These chips, based on the "Raptor Lake Refresh" silicon, offer improved clock speeds compared to the 13th Gen Core series while maintaining a nearly identical feature-set. They are compatible with all Socket LGA1700 motherboards that use 600-series and 700-series chipsets, requiring a UEFI firmware update. Although the full lineup was leaked in marketing material in September, the retailer listings now confirm the existence of these chips. The lineup includes the 4P+0E Core i3-14100F and i3-14100, followed by the Core i5-14400F and i5-14400, the Core i7-14700F and i7-14700, and finally the i9-14900 and i9-14900F as the flagship models. Gamers, especially those interested in the -F extension chips, may find these processors to be a good value.
